Yesterday the U.S. House of Representatives passed -- on a bipartisan basis -- three bills that will support the growth of the geothermal industry, including H.R. 6474, which extends a permitting Categorical Exclusion currently available for oil and gas to geothermal energy. These improvements are critical to the success of #EGS and we thank Representatives Michelle Steel (R-CA), Susie Lee (D-NV), John Curtis (R-UT), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for their support.

We take pride in being a part of the #Houston community and making a lasting positive impact. 🌳   After Fervo Tech Day last week members of our team volunteered for the Houston Parks Board, planting 125 plants and trees at Brays Greenway Park. We had a fantastic time improving our city’s greenspaces to help keep Houston beautiful, accessible, safe, and sustainable.    We’re excited to build things that last everywhere, including our hometown.

In doing so, we’re showing the world that the geothermal industry is ready to scale today and meet the urgent need for 24/7 clean energy. Highlights include: 🔹 Record-breaking flow test at Cape Station: Our 30-day flow test from our 400 MW Cape Station project showed we can produce 10 MWe from a single well—putting us on track to meet U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s 2030 geothermal goals years ahead of schedule. 🔹 Key operational data from Project Red: After 10+ months of production at our commercial pilot, we’re proud to report zero thermal decline at Project Red, key in reducing risks for enhanced geothermal financing. 🔹 $100M project-level loan: We secured our first-ever construction loan from X-Caliber Rural Capital, accelerating Project Cape’s deployment timeline and bringing down the cost to deploy projects.   Thank you to the policy leaders, utilities, suppliers, financial partners, and everyone who joined us at the Ion Houston last week. Big news from Fervo's second annual Technology Day! We just completed the world's most successful Enhanced Geothermal System well test, tripling our output from last year's Project Red, and we have secured a transformative $100M construction loan from X-Caliber Rural Capital to accelerate our development at Cape Station. The successful well test announced today establishes Cape Station as the most productive enhanced #geothermal system in history and is yet another data point that technology performance of geothermal is decades ahead of schedule. Fervo has proven itself as a leader of enhanced geothermal, uncapping the industry’s potential and making future goals a reality today. Last year, Fervo became the first company to successfully drill a horizontal well pair for commercial geothermal production at our full-scale commercial pilot, Project Red. Strategic partnerships like our relationship with Helmerich & Payne (H&P) were critical in our success.   Meet Bart, a driller who has worked on H&P’s geothermal rig at Cape Station, who managed safety, drilling efficiency and best practices at our site. 💡 Inspiring Curiosity in Future Innovators! 🔬 We were delighted to host a STEM Day for kids near our Cape Station project in Beaver County, Utah. Our team introduced 12 local children to the fascinating world of geothermal energy. We had a blast using creative tools like pool noodles, bubbles, and fans to demonstrate how geothermal wells work. It was a hands-on experience that brought science to life in a fun and engaging way! Seeing the curiosity and enthusiasm in these young minds was incredibly rewarding. We hope to inspire future scientists and engineers who will continue the journey toward sustainable energy solutions. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!
