Capital Factory has been a huge part of Fetii’s success. When I chose Austin to be Fetii’s homebase I immediately began searching for partners and resources. The Austin VC ecosystem wouldn’t pay much attention to two college kids pitching a party bus (and I don’t blame them), but Capital Factory took us in and provided resources that helped us, and continue to help us to this day So when Joshua Baer asked if I’d sit down at his Longhorn Startup UT class and dive deep into Fetii’s origins … I knew I had to Speaking with this group of aspiring UT Austin entrepreneurs reminded me of the “searching phase” I went through early on. It feels like a lifetime ago that I was sitting in my apartment at Texas A&M, brainstorming startup ideas with Justin Rath. But in hindsight, I’ve come to understand that while a solid idea is important, it’s your “why” that really matters. Starting a company can be a vehicle for achieving your goals, but those goals need to be clear. Building and scaling a company is stressful, difficult, lonely, and consumes most aspects of your mind. That’s why your “why” has to be strong and clear enough to withstand the inevitable pressures that come with company building. A good idea will get you started, but it’s your purpose—your deeper motivation—that will keep you going when things get tough (and trust me it’ll get tough) That’s why I believe aspiring entrepreneurs (and really anyone) should carve out time to reflect on their deeper meaning and purpose. Dive into philosophy, religious texts, history, even apologetic debates that challenge your current views. The more perspectives and information you absorb, the closer you’ll get to understanding your “why” When you’ve grounded yourself in a purpose you truly believe in (or trick yourself into believing), that clarity will push you further than any startup idea alone ever could. It’ll be your foundation through all the ups and downs. You might even find that starting a company doesn’t even help you achieve your purpose in life, in which case you’ve hit the jackpot and avoided a lot of headaches. Either way focus on figuring out your life goals. And for the love of god, please don’t just make money your “why” Anyways that’s my rant. I could be wrong about everything. Not sure yet. Time will tell.

🚨🚐 ICYMI: Fetii among top choice for gig workers! At Fetii, we’re not just transforming group transportation—we’re providing gig workers with a revenue source that helps support their families and achieve their goals. It’s incredibly fulfilling to lead a company where our drivers are seeing so much success and choosing us over other gig-economy opportunities. “I’ve driven for several other platforms, but Fetii is different,” says Trey Mitchell, a Fetii driver based in Houston. “The pay is better, and I don’t have to worry about racking up miles on my own car.” Our drivers don’t just transport people—they help create unforgettable memories for our users while also making a positive impact on the environment by reducing congestion and emissions. Love the work our team is doing and the positivity we are spreading in our Fetii cities! 💜

🔥 Honored to be announced as the Winner of the 2024 Austin Under 40 Awards! When it comes to awards I always say the same thing and I'll say it again, this is a representation of a dedicated and elite Fetii team. Our team is filled with killers that work around the clock to ensure our users, drivers, and PSPs are flourishing within the Fetii ecosystem...and I am forever grateful! Fetii is responsible for millions of cherished memories as our groups ride together and have fun (and safe) experiences, hundreds of PSPs and Drivers that earn good money which allows them to plan for their futures, and the world benefits as we remove unnecessary vehicles from the roads that otherwise would have been there! What started as 1 bus in Texas A&M University has now grown into a brand recognized by millions...but the job still isn't done. As we speak, our team is working diligently to prepare for 3 new markets coming in August as we continue in our goal of achieving world (fetii) domination!
