Bravo Zulu to the crew of USS Nantucket (LCS 27)👏 #USNavy #MaritimeSecurity #USSNantucket
🌊⚓️ Nantucket to the Rescue! 🚤💨 On October 6th, as Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) USS Nantucket (LCS 27) made her way towards commissioning and then homeporting at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida from Marinette, Wisconsin, she encountered a call from the U.S. Coast Guard that a sailboat had lost its sail in high winds on Lake Erie. With no time to waste, the Nantucket crew sprang into action, executing a rescue mission that showcased their dedication to protecting others at sea. Nantucket provided a wind shelter for the sailboat until a Coast Guard small-rescue boat could arrive. Moments like these remind us that our US Navy mission goes beyond duty—it’s about readiness, courage, and compassion. Honoring 227 Years of the USS Constitution. 🎉 Still a part of U.S. Navy fleet, today we celebrate the world’s oldest commissioned warship, as she turns 227! With an impressive 33-0 battle record, the USS Constitution serves as a strong reminder of the privilege it is to uphold the high Navy standards as we build the Constellation-class frigate FFG-62 in our Marinette Marine shipyard. Pictured below, the USS Constitution floats alongside the Italian FREMM in Boston. Did you know that the future frigate is based on the FREMM design? At our best, both our Italian and American shipbuilding roots come together to maintain the impressive legacy of vessels like the USS Constitution, and to bring a stronger U.S. Navy on board. Happy Birthday, USS Constitution! #FincantieriMarineGroup #USSConstitution #USNavy #FutureOnBoard

At Fincantieri Marine Group, we believe that nurturing talent and fostering global collaboration are the keys to the ignition of future success. 🔑 This summer four students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Colby Milligan, Marcus Thelen, Petar Vorkapich, CESAR VELEZ), learned the ropes of shipbuilding with our parent company FINCANTIERI S.p.A. and the Università degli Studi di Trieste, in Italy. The summer abroad internship program offers hands-on experience and strengthens the bonds of Fincantieri's global presence. The future USS Nantucket (LCS-27) departed Fincantieri Marinette Marine earlier this month to begin its mission for the United States Navy. LCS-27 is the tenth ship in its class built at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine yard, a testament to nearly two decades of hard work and shipbuilding craftsmanship that have gone into the production of Freedom-class LCSs, dating back to the keel laying of USS Freedom (LCS-1) in 2005. We are immensely proud of our people and all that they do to contribute not only to our organization but also in their role as a silent partner, helping to provide safety and security nationally and globally. By fostering strong and long-lasting partnerships, together, we are bringing the future on board. #FincantieriMarineGroup #USNavy #FutureOnBoard #WisconsinShipbuilding

This week, a team of four welders from Fincantieri Marinette Marine took third place in the first annual Welding Rodeo at the NWTC-Marinette campus on October 9. The team included Joe Seymour, Dillon Wilczynski, Jacob Strahl, and Scott Guns. 🎉 The team produced an impressive sculpture of a deer and rifle, and FMM employees, including Ship Area Manager Jordan Kinney, were also present to take part in the midday career fair. Kinney, who handpicked each participant for the welding competition, acknowledged the importance of community partnerships and engagements like this one, saying, "I feel it is important for our employees and company to show our support to our youth and our skilled labor force. It was great to not only have the NWTC folks there, but also the high school students that were able to see various local companies, including FMM, competing with one another. We also had the opportunity to represent what we do for a living each day in the shipyard. It was great to see the teamwork and combined group efforts that come out of events like this. I would like to see more of this in the years to come.” Kinney’s remarks echo the spirit of what it truly means to bring the future on board. Thank you and a job well done to NWTC and all those who participated! 👏 Northeast Wisconsin Technical College #Fincantieri #FutureOnBoard #WisconsinJobs #Manufacturing
