Enabling our world to launch, land, and orbit in space. Anytime. Anywhere.
About us
As an end-to-end space transportation company, Firefly Aerospace is on a mission to enable our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. Our small- to medium-lift launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide more affordable, responsive, and reliable space access for government and commercial customers. We achieve this by utilizing advanced carbon composite structures, patented propulsion technologies, and common components across our vehicles that allow us to scale efficiencies, improve reliability, and lift heavier payloads at a lower cost.

Our #BlueGhost road trip has begun! First stop: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Here the lander will go through a series of tests to ensure the integrated vehicle can withstand various flight environments during launch, transit, and landing on the Moon. We're not just moving fast on our Miranda engines... our Medium Launch Vehicle (MLV) structures are also making strides! The team has taken everything they've learned from Alpha's carbon composites and scaled them up for MLV. The first stage propellant tank is now on the stand at our Rocket Ranch and ready for development testing. Then we'll qualify the full-length structure next. Exciting times ahead!

Big win today on the Blue Ghost front: All 8 thrusters are qualified, acceptance tested and fit checked on the lander! During Blue Ghost Mission 1, these Reaction Control System thrusters, called Spectre, will help maintain the lander’s orientation during maneuvers and independently perform the final descent, throttling as needed for a soft landing on the Moon. Stay tuned for more updates as we get ready to ship Blue Ghost for final environmental testing before launching later this year.
