Karl Eze Part 2 – The Future of Drones, Regulations & Breaking Barriers Regulations aren’t just red tape—they can make or break innovation. In Part 2 of our conversation with Karl Eze, we dive into the future of autonomous systems, regulatory battles, and how to push through obstacles to drive real change. We’re talking about: - How regulatory frameworks can accelerate—or kill—drone innovation - The momentum shift in European defense startups - The next evolution of autonomous warfare and why we’re still in the “WWI of drones” Listen now! Excited to share that I recently joined Firestorm as Chief of Staff ! Firestorm is developing modular, additively manufactured UAS that are faster and more cost-effective to build. But the vision goes beyond that. We've developed containerized manufacturing systems that can be deployed in hours, enabling defense forces to manufacture what they need, where they need it -- faster & cheaper. Looking forward to what’s ahead. Thanks for having me Dan, Chad, Ian, and the Firestorm team ! Let's build !

On this week’s episode of the Drone Wars Podcast we have the CEO of Point Zenith, Karl Eze! The battlefield is evolving fast, and Karl Eze has been there since the inception—bridging military experience, FPV drone racing, and cutting-edge defense tech. In this episode of Drone Wars, Karl breaks down his background and how he saw the future of drones unfolding back in 2015. While in his time in the armed forces, Karl wrote a paper on the use case of drones in warfare and today talks about why pixel lock technology is changing the rulebook on RF jammed drone warfare. Tune in now to hear how the drone use case has evolved, adaptive tactics discovered, and new layers of combined arms maneuvering are transforming the fight. Listen here! Firestorm at SDI & Tectonic Last week, Firestorm dominated SDI and Tectonic. The future of warfare is modular, scalable, and built for contested environments. We’re making it happen. At SDI, we met top investors, founders, and government leaders. Tempest and El Niño stole the show. We spoke on manufacturing at the edge—because warfighters can’t wait for supply chains. At Capital Factory, we announced Firestorm’s STRATFI award. More drones, faster. At Tectonic, we joined William Mark Valentine (Skydio) and Dr. Matt Markel (Epirus) to talk drone warfare. Chris Morales (Point72) moderated. The message: Warfare is evolving. Firestorm is driving it forward. Ian Muceus, Firestorm’s CTO, took the stage at the Austin4America robotics panel to discuss the future of automation and autonomy in national security. Firestorm’s Chad M., CSO, also spoke on the Asymmetric Systems on the Battlefield panel, breaking down how innovative unmanned systems will define the future of warfare. We also recorded podcasts with the best minds in defense tech—shoutout to Shaun Moore, Michael LaFramboise, Matt Markel, Devin Beckwith, Adam Warmoth, James Cross, and Chris Donaghey. If you saw us, let’s talk. If you missed us, don’t worry—you’ll hear from us soon. #Firestorm #DefenseTech #STRATFI

Firestorm Secures STRATFI Funding to Scale Modular UAS & Expeditionary Manufacturing Firestorm has been awarded STRATFI PY25.1 funding to accelerate 3D-printed modular UAS, Air Launched Effects (ALE), and expeditionary manufacturing—giving warfighters the ability to produce mission-ready drones on demand, at the edge. With xCell, warfighters can 3D-print drones and parts in the field, eliminating reliance on vulnerable supply chains. Tempest is built for rapid, low-cost force regeneration, and the A2E CLT-variant delivers Air Launched Effects for contested environments. This investment enables Firestorm to: - Scale production for military deployment - Expand xCell’s in-field manufacturing - Enhance AI-driven autonomy - Accelerate field testing and integration Firestorm is closing the gap between prototype and warfighter-ready systems, delivering affordable, adaptable, and rapidly deployable drones when and where they’re needed most. Thank you to our DoD partners for their trust in Firestorm’s mission to deliver warfighter-driven innovation at scale. We’re just getting started! https://lnkd.in/gdDt9Cd4

Firestorm at JIFX: Pushing the Boundaries of Expeditionary Manufacturing We took xCell into the field for its first mobile deployment—and it delivered. At JIFX, we successfully 3D printed Tempest parts on-site, proved multi-power source adaptability, and validated the system’s ability to deploy without damage or recalibration delays. Key takeaways: - First mobile deployment of xCell - Printed Tempest components in the field - Calibration print landed within spec - Seamless power switching—ran off both a generator and an external battery bank JIFX reinforced what we’ve been building toward: on-demand, expeditionary drone manufacturing—anywhere, anytime. The battlefield won’t wait, and neither will we.
