Happy International Credit Union Day under the theme: One World Through Cooperative Finance! We are at a time in our history when we seem increasingly divided, we hope our credit unions use the 76th anniversary of ICU Day to show how our movement brings people closer together through democratic, member-owned financial institutions that put people over profit. About us
Welcome to First Miami University Student & Alumni Federal Credit Union, the only student run financial institution located on Miami University’s Oxford Campus! Founded in 1988 by a group of Miami Students, First Miami began as a cost-effective alternative to Oxford’s Uptown banking options. Today, First Miami is one of only three completely student-run credit unions in the nation and serves Miami University's student and alumni financial needs daily.

Why are credit unions uniquely positioned to help women? "When it comes to employment, females have a strong credit union presence both overall and at the executive level. A report from the Filene Research Institute found that 53% of credit union CEOs and 70% of credit union employees overall are female. Those numbers certainly top other industries—for instance, as of September 2020, females represented just over 7% of CEOs at Fortune 500 companies. "CUI Insight

Congratulations to First Miami Alum, Kaylee Fickle. At First Miami, she served as Executive Director and helped lead FMSCU into a new future!
After a wonderful summer with J.P. Morgan, I am excited to announce that I will be returning full-time as an Analyst within the Financial Sponsors Group in New York City. Thank you to everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with these past 9 weeks. I’d like to extend a special thanks to Reagan Browne and Taylor Hall, your mentorship and guidance throughout the summer has been greatly appreciated! Additionally, thank you to Ian Chenkus, CFA and Claire Bewalda for continuously supporting me from the recruitment process to now. I am so grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to see what’s to come starting next June!
