Kristen Nyht, AIA, AICP, LEED AP, Fitwel Ambassador and Katie Potts, AIA share a passion for creating meaningful, impactful spaces through their architectural work. Both are experienced architects committed to sustainability and resilient design, and they excel in managing complex projects while maintaining a client-centered approach. Kristen, a senior project manager with Fishbeck thrives in the higher education sector, appreciating the variety and intricacies of her work. While Katie, an architect with Diekema Hamann Architecture + Engineering expertise spans commercial, historic, and residential buildings, with a focus on designing spaces that support diverse communities. Both are recognized leaders in their field, actively contributing to the architectural community through their involvement in professional organizations and initiatives. AIA Grand Rapids THRIVE connects mentees with seasoned industry experts, expanding networks, offering work-life balance strategies, and providing career advancement guidance. This initiative bridges the gap between experience and ambition, fostering opportunities and professional growth.

Fishbeck recently initiated the "Air 1000 Challenge" - encouraging staff to exercise outside for 1,000 minutes for 30 days. In support of this challenge, we had a friendly cornhole tournament in our Novi office! Yesterday was more than just a day on the golf course. I had the privilege of teeing off with some of the incredible leaders from my Leadership Grand Rapids Class of '23—hands down, the best class ever—and supporting the A.Y.A. Youth Collective and my friend Andy Allen at their annual golf outing. At Fishbeck, we're not just about building infrastructure; we're about building communities. Supporting AYA Youth Collective isn't just something we do; it's who we are. AYA's mission to uplift and empower young people aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community here in West Michigan. Every swing, every putt, was a reminder of why we do what we do. We're here to make a difference—on the course, in our work, and in the lives of the youth who will shape our future. Spartans are bridging into fall semester at Michigan State University with completion of the Farm Lane Bridge renovations! “Reconstructing the Farm Lane Bridge was vital to ensuring the safety of Spartans,” said MSU’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) vice president Dan Bollman in a recent feature article by MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. “We needed to act now before further deterioration resulted in unplanned closures and more costly work.” Read more about this project and the rich history of this vital campus landmark at https://lnkd.in/gkv5VadD We are honored to have partnered with Fishbeck and C.A.
