  • Continuing our 10 week campaign, next we dive into the issues, concerns, and programming surrounding HUNGER. The mission of FPCC began over 150 years ago by providing immediate needs to those struggling to meet life's basic needs. That mission remains crucial today as the challenge of food insecurity continues to grow. Hunger is a serious issue in Indianapolis and Indiana as a whole. Read more here on partnering with us to address this critical need! https://lnkd.in/gWpNDM7V #fletcherplacecommunitycenter #HopeStartsHere #feedingthehungry #indianapolis

  • With your support, we are creating HOPE for our REACH Early Learning (EL) students and their families. In May 2024, we graduated our biggest class in FPCC history, 18 GRADUATES! 🎓 Using the ELM (Early Learning Matters) curriculum, we educate our students and prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. During the 2023-24 school year, 93% of our students mastered and/or showed growth in ELM assessments. Check out our stories to see the charts on annual assessments data. REACH EL is more than just early learning. REACH EL is FAMILY. REACH EL is a diverse group invested in creating the best opportunity for their children. REACH EL is a village fostering HOPE to all enrolled. This is exhibited by our "REACH Family Village" model. In 2024, we have provided "Program Enhancements" to enrolled families that include weekend snack packs, Farm To Table fresh veggies from the Community Garden along with recipes on how to use veggies, food pantry, and free clothing through the Renewal Boutique. We also host monthly Family Engagement nights for families to have enriching educational family experiences and interact with other families. This summer, we are hosting 43 students for summer session! In the Fall, we plan to have 6 classrooms open with 72 students ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The need for scholarships and program enhancement support will be event greater. We need YOU to support these programs and help us continue to provide HOPE! https://lnkd.in/gWpNDM7V https://lnkd.in/gN-hfPgv #fletcherplacecommunitycenter #HopeStartsHere #earlylearning #nonprofit #indianapolis #scholarships

  • With the knowledge that education is the best tool to break the cycle of poverty, FPCC has been expanding our REACH Early Learning (EL) program. REACH EL is an affordable, diverse Paths to Quality Level 3 early learning program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. REACH EL offers opportunities for scholarships to children while supporting their parents to gain valuable education and training in alignment the 2Gen Poverty model in partnership with Southeast Community Services (SECS) Center for Working Families. Having REACH EL housed within FPCC allows us to provide our immediate need services to families creating a supportive “family village” that aids in breaking the cycle of poverty. #fletcherplacecommunitycenter #hopestartshere #earlylearning #nonprofit #indianapolis

  • Part 1 of our Hope Starts Here Campaign is all about our REACH Early Learning Program! https://lnkd.in/gWpNDM7V The cost of childcare is high and a major part of the national conversation. The effects on Central Indiana families being able to access affordable care is reaching a dire situation. Studies show families pay 25% of their annual income on childcare. We offer scholarships to our families that bring the average cost down to 6-10% of their income.
