FLEX: Your Tiger Team for Success

About us

FLEX Partners is a national consulting firm that is doubling down on white glove service to help organizations turn bold goals into victories. We don’t believe in plug-and-play solutions. We listen first, get to know your mission, your pain points, how your team works together, and where we can help. This might mean help with getting media coverage, raising funds, reducing turnover, training leadership, adopting new systems and business practices, scaling, and more. Next, we assemble the right “tiger team” of role-specific experts to deliver the results you need, choosing from an exclusive roster of fundraisers, operations advisors, designers, storytellers, PR specialists, and more. And you don’t just get access to one of us—you get all of us. We are here to flex around your operation to enhance your current efforts. We’ve worked with clients in all phases of growth, from start-up, to scaling, to $50+ million budgets. If you are sick of sub-par, templated contract work, it’s time to call in a FLEX team to get it done right.

Love this article from Business Insider talking about working from home with kids. It's truly a unique experience that brings joy and challenges. Ultimately, being more present during these young years is my goal, and that’s achieved through my ability to work from home. There's an unmatched comfort in knowing they are growing up in their home with their mom right upstairs. Sharing meals, exchanging hugs, and engaging in impromptu conversations throughout the workday gives me so much energy. There's a special joy in watching my three-year-old set up his own little "office" to learn and play alongside me. I love that they get to see me working hard for our family. They get exposure to a parent working from home and one who leaves the house to provide for the family. Some challenges come with it, including the cost of in-home childcare and finding someone reliable. Additionally, it can be challenging to hear them having a tough day with their caretaker. The value of this setup is immeasurable for our family, though. Ultimately, I know I’m just steps away to offer solutions or sometimes step in to give them what they need. Taking the commute, getting ready, packing bags, and all the other things that come with working in an office out of the equation ultimately gives us back hours together as a family each week. And more time with my kids, to be the most significant influence on their lives, is all I can ask for. So grateful for FLEX Partners making it possible to find this amazing balance between being a mom and a professional! https://lnkd.in/gpaW6Wwr

I've been working from home with kids for years. It can be distracting — but so is working in the office.

Our FLEX Partners team is gutted by the devastating loss of life, property, and community experienced over the last week as a result of Hurricane Helene. It’s hard to fathom the magnitude of this crisis, and the images you see on the news barely scratch the surface of what those on the ground are facing. We would like to highlight one story that hits near and dear to our hearts: The community surrounding Oak Hill Charter School in Caldwell County, North Carolina. The staff and families at Oak Hill have personally been devastated by the storm, yet in the midst of their own needs, they are rallying to meet the needs of others—and we’d like to help. Oak Hill is serving as a designated supply drop-off site in Caldwell County and is coordinating moving items to the highest-need areas in the state. They are also providing meals and offering victims a safe place to shower, rest, and charge their phones—they served more than 200 people in person on Monday alone. A member of their team on the ground passed this along to us: We still have families trapped in the mountains, unable to get out due to mudslides. Many of our school families and people in the area are still without power and water. A family was rescued on Monday from the Collettsville area of Caldwell County. They hadn't eaten anything since Friday. We barely keep supplies at our school site for more than a few hours before they are taken the needs are so immense. There is a major gas shortage, and many families are having to rely on churches and local businesses to get a meal. We are inspired by everyone at Oak Hill and all of those supporting efforts on the ground. If you are able to support their efforts, please consider purchasing items from their Amazon Wish List which will be linked in the comments. They will go directly to those in need.

This September, our team at FLEX Partners is supporting a cause that is deeply personal to us: #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth. Every three minutes, one American is diagnosed with blood cancer. Our team has been personally impacted by these devastating diseases, and whether you're aware of it or not, you likely have been, too. There are 1.6 million people across the country currently living with or in remission from blood cancers. This is a fight that affects us all. Leukemia is the most common cancer in children younger than 15 years. It's a heartbreaking reality, but one that we can change together. By raising awareness and funds, we can contribute to the ongoing battle against these diseases and support those affected. Throughout the month of September, we encourage you to join us in making a difference by sharing these graphics on your social media and using hashtags #BCAM and #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth to help spread the word! #BCAM #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth

Executive Leadership in Operations, Strategy, and Communications

When you take the leap to start a new business it can sometimes feel lonely in the midst of the energy and excitement. That's why it's key to identify the people you want to bring on board early on in the process and work toward that achievement. From day one, I knew that the minute I had the opportunity to hire someone it would be Kelsey Philie. FLEX was designed with her in mind, and one year ago she took the same leap and joined the team full-time. I cannot express my gratitude for her impact, partnership, leadership, creativity, and vision. We wouldn't be where we are today if she had not bought in as she did. To my fellow entrepreneurs, identify those people who make you better, make the business better, and are the type of person you can trust to drive the work with the same high standards you have so you can focus on the business. To Kelsey, thank you! Happy one year anniversary and to many many more to come.

According to LinkedIn’s latest Workforce Confidence survey, American workers’ confidence in their careers has hit new lows. This drop is especially noticeable among men, who have historically reported higher rates of career confidence than women. 📉 Men’s optimism about their ability to progress in their careers over the next year has dropped by eight points since the start of the year (from +32 to +24, on a scale from -100 to +100). That’s after hitting +23 points at the start of June, marking the lowest level it’s been since the survey began in 2020. What's driving this? It's a perfect storm: rapid technology / infrastructure changes, an unpredictable labor market, and businesses not willing to address a major employee happiness issue. At FLEX Partners, we believe in turning challenges into opportunities. 🌟 Here’s how we’re helping our community stay resilient and optimistic: 🔹 Leadership and Professional Development Coaching: Personalized guidance to help you navigate your career path with confidence 🔹 Skill Development: Access to resources and training to keep you ahead of the curve 🔹 Change Management: Ready to undergo an infrastructure or operating strategy change? What does freedom in the workplace mean to you? 🇺🇲 For us: Flexibility is freedom. Over the past four years, remote work has become synonymous with flexibility, and thus, happiness. A recent LinkedIn study shows that remote workers seem to be less burnt out overall than those who are hybrid or in person–with time, control, and relationships driving the reasoning. You’ll get no disagreement from our team–all of whom are, notably, remote. Remote work has given our team members and our clients more ownership of their schedules, increased productivity, and, you guessed it, more flexibility. But…when done incorrectly, remote work has pitfalls. Pitfalls that lead to less flexibility, not more. True flexibility in the workplace comes from discipline, accountability, and empowerment. It sounds contradictory. Discipline is rigid, isn’t it? In reality, being disciplined with your time and setting intentional boundaries for work-life balance are critical for a successful flexible work environment. Without it, burnout is inevitable. And despite its prevalence, remote work continues to get a bad rap because many companies and leaders refuse to set realistic expectations about accountability with their employees–and then fail to empower their team to dictate and meet those expectations. That’s a recipe for overworked employees, frustrated managers, and a poor ROI–and most likely, a last ditch effort to restore productivity with a return-to-office mandate. Don’t make that mistake. Regardless of where you work, be intentional about creating a flexible environment. Your team will thank you for it.
