What a great way to start the day! This morning's Flint & Genesee Chamber African American Advisory Committee was hosted by Creative Hair School of Cosmetology Inc. During the meeting we heard from Corinthian Carouthers II, who shared the story of the school which was founded by her mother and is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year. The group also heard from Brianna Mosier, executive director of Flint & Genesee Education & Talent, who highlighted some of our sister division's upcoming workshops and information on other programming and opportunities available.

What an amazing night! Thank you to our members who came out to Hot Dogs & Hot Rods. It was a great time for networking as we watched the Back to the Bricks - Car Cruise roll by.

We are excited for the Michigan Renaissance Festival to kick off this weekend. Thank you to the festival for letting us celebrate their 45th season in style. Our team presented them with a certificate of recognition and cut the ribbon to start the season! We also ran into our friends at Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan who were able to snag some great costumes at a great deal.

Yesterday, we had a fantastic time cutting the ribbon at the Wolves Wellness Center - a collaboration between Genesee ISD and Mott Children's Health Center. The new clinic will provide behavioral health and primary health services to families of the school district and Genesee County. What an amazing initiative! We are honored to be part of the grand opening.

It's finally here! Hot Dogs & Hot Rods is the Flint & Genesee Group's annual appreciation cookout. So excited for Whaley Children's Center as they open their Hope House, a place for youth ages 16-21. It offers a multi-service approach to meet the needs of young people who are transitioning out of foster care and provides them with a safe place to call home while learning to be independent.
