❤️ Our hearts are with those impacted by #HurricaneMilton, which has brought damage and flooding to many in Florida, just two weeks after #HurricaneHelene left its mark. As always, we’re committed to giving back and helping our neighbors in need. To support the ongoing relief and recovery efforts, we’re providing aid to several nonprofit organizations through the Florida Blue Foundation, including American Red Cross, United Way, Volunteer Florida, World Central Kitchen, Florida Department of Children and Families, and Feeding Florida. We encourage others to donate as well. Every contribution counts, and together we can help our neighbors get back on their feet.

As we celebrate our 80th anniversary, we also want to recognize people who have been part of our journey. People like long-time member Mary I., who has been a Florida Blue Medicare member for 25 years. This self-described “woman of many adventures” says her plan’s benefits give her peace of mind. This includes daily in-home care at no extra cost. We’re honored that Mary has trusted us with her health care needs over the years. In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we’d like to recognize Hispanic health care pioneers. From life-altering cures to better care for millions, these people have been instrumental in advancing healthcare. A Panamanian-American nurse and visionary, Dr. Murillo-Rohde founded the National Association of Hispanic Nurses in 1975. Her legacy? Empowering Latinas to pursue education and serve their community. Let’s honor her during #HispanicHeritageMonth!
