Teams across the state continue to step up and help the devasted areas from Hurricane Helen & Milton. Thank you to law enforcement for continuing to be the boots on the ground helping with these recovery efforts.
The dedicated men and women of the Special Operations Division have been working tirelessly in the aftermath of #HurricaneMilton. Utilizing our specialized equipment to navigate flooded areas, they have conducted water rescues, delivered essential supplies like food and water, cleared fallen trees, and provided critical support to the citizens of our county. Many of these efforts, captured in the accompanying photos and videos, took place in the Kathleen area, showcasing the ongoing commitment of our team to the community during these challenging times.

🌧️ Tornados caused by Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc across Florida, and impacting the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office’s significantly. The destruction of the facility that housed critical patrol resources was swift, but thankfully all personnel are safe. Sacrifices are made for a greater public safety. Please listen to your local officials. They are being provided the most accurate real-time data so that you can remain informed.
🚨𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬🚨 As the storm approaches, we want to remind everyone: now is not the time to be outside. Please do not risk your safety or the safety of others by venturing out. ⚠️ Strong winds, heavy rain, and flooding are all major threats. The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to stay indoors and wait it out.
