Back-to-school season is here, and so is the concern over the quality of tap water in kids' schools. An article published last month in The Washington Post highlighted this concerning issue, and proposed an immediate, effective solution: water filtration. "The patchwork of state testing has led some advocates to push instead for a national 'filter first' policy, in which initial mass testing is skipped in favor of installing lead-filtering taps in schools en masse. They argue it is the quickest, cheapest way to ensure children get clean water, avoiding millions spent on testing and replacing plumbing."
