Most people think Fluz’s birthday is the day we “launched”. That’s not the case. There was no magic day where the app just opened and everything was just perfect. It has been a pursuit of incremental victories. Despite that, September 24 is a very important day for Fluz. It was the launch party we hosted at the home of my Co-Founder, Mike Rosen - may he rest in peace. It was also his birthday, his second to last one. By the time he and I met, he was at a point in life where he didn’t need to get involved with a new start up. He did it because he saw what we would become. He did it out of the goodness of his heart. Mike always told me so often, “Stop thinking you will build this business. It will come from the field.” I wish he was here to see how right he was. I have an endless appreciation to Mike. He was a guide, a leader, a partner and a friend. I am lucky he saw in me more than I saw in myself. He knew what we would become. I thank him for sharing his wisdom to start us on the journey. Our success is his success.
