The cost of repairing FOD damage to an aircraft component can exceed 20 percent of its original purchase price. Inspect vehicle and tires for any debris. 3. Clean off any debris. 4. Start the vehicle and roll forward approximately one foot or turn the steering wheel 180 degrees. 5. The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for Tropical Storm Debbie that will impact the area on Friday, August 9th through Saturday, August 10th. Heavy rain and thunderstorms with winds gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Flooding is possible with estimated rainfall of up to 4 inches. It is recommended that all tenants verify their aircraft tie-downs and ensure no loose items or FOD are present on the ramp that could cause issues due to wind gusts. UPDATE: Due to supply issues, Phillips Construction has delayed the partial lane closure of Observation Road. Work is expected to begin on or about August 6. Crews will be working from 7:00AM to 5:00PM daily.
