ARGUS International honors SURJET as an ARGUS Platinum Operator, which places them in the upper five percent of over 1,000 U.S. based charter operators. The Platinum Rating is the highest level in the ARGUS audit standard and is awarded only to those air charter operators who have demonstrated successful implementation of industry best safety practices regarding their operations and maintenance. Achieving ARGUS Platinum Rating is a testament to the aviation community that safety is SURJET’s top priority. The ARGUS Platinum Rating consists of an audit that takes an in-depth look into the quality of documented processes in addition to the strength of the safety management system implemented by the operator. Receiving a Platinum Rating means the operation was examined over several days by a team of on-site auditors and subsequently completed any corrective actions necessary to meet the standard. "The SURJET team was a pleasure to work with,” said Ed Wandall, ARGUS International Vice President Business Aviation. “The ARGUS Platinum Audit is challenging, by design. But the quality of SURJET was evident to our audit team, and we are very pleased to welcome to the Platinum Rating.” SURJET, a private jet management and charter company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, has achieved the prestigious Platinum rating from ARGUS International. This rating recognizes and places SURJET among 5% of all charter companies. To achieve a Platinum rating, the operator must pass quality assurance and stringent requirements that examine operator history, pilot and aircraft records, maintenance protocols, and on-site safety audits. It guarantees that all aspects of the operator’s services meet the strict safety standards set by the program. Further, Platinum status requires a well-developed Safety Management System (SMS), full-motion simulator training for all pilots, a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, effective policies and procedures, and documented records for all major aspects of operations and maintenance within a flight department or charter company. “Achieving ARGUS Platinum status reflects our ongoing commitment to safety. This credits our implementation of safety policies, procedures, and our company culture,” says Mariana Pires, Director of Safety for SURJET. “We are extremely proud to have achieved Platinum status. The process and on-site audit were a great learning experience and the auditors were very professional, prepared, and provided excellent communication and feedback throughout the entire process. The result reinforces our culture and commitment to safety at SURJET” states Antonio Tur, Surjet.
