Since starting operations in Daloa, Côte d’Ivoire, last year, Zipline has become the sole distributor of vaccines to more than 150 hard-to-reach facilities, building on progress made by the Ivorian Ministry of Health to improve national immunization coverage. At the inaugural Economic Development Assembly in Abidjan, Keller Rinaudo Cliffton outlined how we’re collaborating with Ministère de la Santé, de l'Hygiène Publique et de la Couverture Maladie Universelle (Côte d'Ivoire) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to scale this impact and strengthen the 10 regional centers of health excellence in the country in the next stage of our partnership.

Transforming the way goods move
About us
Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. A unique innovation is transforming access to vaccines in Ghana. With Zipline drones delivering life-saving vaccines to the most remote communities, rough roads and long travel times no longer stand in the way of essential immunisations. This exciting initiative has boosted immunisation rates by up to 50%. To keep these innovations going, we’re calling on world governments to support Gavi’s $9 billion replenishment to protect 500 million children between 2026 - 2030—preventing more than 8 million deaths and building global health security for the future. #ForOurFuture #VaccinesWork

Donovan Bass, Zipline’s Head of Product for our Customer Platform, believes sustainability is one of the biggest challenges on the planet—and transportation plays a huge role. He also believes that by replacing traditional automobile deliveries with zero-emission drone deliveries, Zipline has the power to make a huge impact. It’s why he’s so committed to helping our partners set up drone delivery for their businesses easily and efficiently. To see how Zipline's drone delivery system integrates into businesses of all kinds, join Donovan and other Zipline leaders on Sept 19 for an end-to-end demo and Q&A. https://bit.ly/3ZnZCRc

Kevin's early career included getting a degree in Criminology, a stint in education, and volunteering for organizations like the Red Cross – on the surface, not necessarily the clearest path to leading manufacturing operations at a robotics company. To Kevin, the throughline was wanting to be a part of something that saves lives. With one million deliveries of life-saving blood, medicine, and more over the past eight years of operations, he's in the right place. Kevin has been at Zipline for more than six years, and is no stranger to the bumps, failures, and thrills of trying to build technology that's never been built before. Hear Kevin give us the real deal when it comes to working at a global autonomy startup. And come watch him at our virtual event next week on September 19. https://bit.ly/3ZnZCRc
