The inaugural University of Pennsylvania Penn Libraries Book Prize in Sustainability acknowledges outstanding contributions to the global discourse on environmental sustainability. Julie DiNatale, vice president and chief sustainability officer, had the honor of participating on this year’s panel of jurors. "I was incredibly honored to serve as a juror for the first Penn Libraries Book Prize in Sustainability. We were able to dive into a diverse array of engaging, inspiring books that expertly illustrated the urgent need for climate action. These books are sure to spark important conversations, drive meaningful action and empower readers to become change-makers in the sustainability space," said Julie.    Congratulations to the winner, Johan Eklöf for his book "The Darkness Manifesto," which highlights the importance of darkness in our ecosystems and advocates for reducing light pollution to protect our natural world. FMC employees closed out Hunger Action Month by volunteering with our partner, The Community Grocer, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit on a mission to provide access to the ingredients everyone needs to live stronger, healthier lives. During the volunteer event, employees helped unload and distribute over 3,000 pounds of food including fresh produce, canned goods and pantry staples to more than 200 families. Employees also participated in a hard-hat tour of The Community Grocer’s pilot store, which will provide community members with healthy, SNAP-eligible meal kits, fresh ingredients and more when it opens. Hunger Action Month may be over, but people in Philadelphia and around the world face food insecurity every day. We encourage you to take action throughout the year by donating, volunteering and advocating with organizations like TCG to help ensure everyone has access to healthy and nutritious food they need to thrive. #FMCforGood #HungerActionMonth

Phishing emails are deceptive messages sent by scammers to trick individuals into sharing personal information or an organization's confidential data. These emails often use fear, curiosity and urgency to manipulate recipients into providing information they wouldn’t otherwise disclose. Phishing causes 90% of data breaches, and more than 3 billion phishing emails are sent every day worldwide. Throughout the month, we will be sharing more tips to enhance your cybersecurity awareness.
