We're thrilled to share that the Foundation of Caring has granted $13,200 to Dawning Family Services! Dawning Family Services is making a real impact by assisting families with children who are facing housing instability or homelessness. They believe, as we do, that a stable home is the foundation for a brighter future. This grant will support the 100 Nights of Safety program, providing emergency shelter for 20 families experiencing homelessness. The goal is to successfully transition them into permanent housing. The program offers vital services like case management, housing search and placement assistance, financial aid for rent and utilities, and post-shelter support. Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, we've recently granted $8,377.41 to Quest, Inc., an incredible organization dedicated to building communities where individuals with disabilities achieve their goals through quality and innovation. This grant will be used to purchase a professional-grade electric lift at Quest, ensuring safety for clients, caregivers, and visitors. This lift, operated by one caregiver, supports up to 600 pounds, making physical tasks safer and more efficient. Electronic lifts are crucial in reducing accidents and injuries, creating a secure environment for all. We're proud to award a $6,000 grant to the Kaye Prox Food Bank, a beacon of hope in the Town & Country, Citrus Park, and Westchase areas of greater Tampa. Kaye Prox serves approximately 2,000 individuals and families monthly, providing bi-weekly emergency supplemental food supplies. Our grant will be used to purchase an enclosed cargo trailer. This means the dedicated volunteers can now haul bulk donations, including full pallets of products, in a single trip. We are excited to share that the Foundation of Caring has awarded a $27,600 grant to the Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center —an organization dedicated to using equine-assisted therapies to bring healing to children and families. The impact of this grant will be felt through the construction of a permanent ADA compliant, handicap-accessible horse mounting ramp in their new covered arena. The Volunteer Way is Pasco County's largest food pantry and soup kitchen, serving 6,000 residents each month at the pantry and providing 25,000 hot meals annually. We are incredibly excited to partner with Warrior Wellness Program. This grant will provide 30 veterans and/or active-duty service members with an average of four sessions each of life-saving Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). This transformative therapy empowers warriors to overcome their struggles, fostering a reconnection with the world around them and ultimately leading to a better quality of life post-military service. Warrior Wellness Program offers a lifeline to those impacted by the traumas of war, guiding veterans through the challenging transition from military to civilian life.
