Provide food to all in need through community partnerships and hunger-relief programs.
About us
The Food Bank for Larimer County's mission is to provide food to all in need through community partnerships and hunger-relief programs. In FYE 2024, the Food Bank for Larimer County provided more than 10.2 million pounds of food to those in need. 42% of this food was produce and 9.4 million pounds of this food was rescued, meaning it would have been thrown away if we didn't intervene. We distribute food through three primary programs: Fresh Food Share No-Cost Markets, kids and senior meals programs, and our agency partner network. Our Fresh Food Share No-Cost Markets are client-choice, meaning clients get to select the food that is right for them and their families. With locations in Fort Collins and Loveland, both shopping locations offer a selection of purchased, donated, and government-funded food to income qualifying individuals. While some programs and food options are limited to those using government-supported programs, anyone who is experiencing food insecurity can shop at our two no-cost market locations. The Nutritious Kitchen prepares more than 200,000 nutritious meals and snacks annually for children and seniors in our community, while our Agency Partner Network works with more than 120 nonprofit partner agencies to provide food to the clients they serve. These organizations include food pantries, soup kitchens, after-school programs, and domestic violence shelters, and more. An estimated 50,000 Larimer County residents facing food insecurity receive assistance from the Food Bank each year. Our collective services and programs saved clients $38.2 million last year alone.

@CanvasCreditUnion, The #AspenClub and the AARP hosted an annual #shredday this past weekend. People were encouraged to bring their documents and also donate non-perishable food items for the #FoodBank. Their efforts raised 556 pounds of food! This food will help so many seeking resources from our programs. We are so grateful for the support!

The India Association of Northern Colorado recently hosted their annual food drive at #SamsClub. They collected 1,539 pounds of donations, including tons of essential needs items, like diapers bound for the #nappieproject. They also raised enough money for the equivalent of more than 300 meals. 😃 This event is one of many that the the #IANC does to support the Food Bank. We are incredibly grateful for their efforts!

Latino children are nearly twice as likely to lack access to sufficient nutritious food as non-Latino white children are. You can help: Know and share that we offer #SNAP outreach services. Be aware and share. Being aware of the rates of food insecurity in the area you live is important. We all play a part in community awareness and making change. Know and share that we offer #SNAP outreach services. Volunteer with us. We have a unique need for volunteers who speak a second language -- Spanish-speaking staff and volunteers offer a unique and special sense of belonging when our Spanish-speaking clients visit.
