At Korellis, we take immense pride in our community involvement and volunteer endeavors. Last week, members of #TeamKorellis had the pleasure of assisting the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana's Mobile Market at Franciscan Health. Despite the rainy weather, our team’s spirit was unfazed as they donned ponchos and got to work, eager to support our community. The Mobile Market is a vital program that provides a mixture of meats, vegetables, and fruits to residents of Northwest Indiana who require food assistance. This initiative travels to different communities each week, distributing approximately 40-50 pounds of healthy groceries to individuals and families across the region. Each market serves between 100 – 500 households, with 4-5 markets held weekly across Lake and Porter County. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has been leading the region’s fight against food insecurity since 1982 and distributes food for approximately 6 million meals each year to hungry kids, adults, and senior citizens. ⭐️🥖Food insecurity during summer impacts children by limiting their access to nutritious meals, leading to physical and mental health issues, and poor educational performance when school resumes. Initiatives by food banks aim to mitigate these effects by providing free, nutritious meals. Aaron McDermott Brett McDermott, CCIM Myles Rapchak
