😎 FORGET HEALTH AND SUSTAINABILITY - GO FOR TASTE! 😎 According to Food for Climate League, chefs, restaurants and other recipe providers, such as our new venture, The Kitchen Adventure app funded by FOODITY, need to 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 in order to be more attractive and more inclusive to different audiences. In order to do this, dish titles need to be thought about very carefully, avoiding words such as 𝘷𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘯, 𝘷𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯, 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘵-𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥, 𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘢, 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘵, 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩, 𝘶𝘣𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴. These can go into the description, however, the name should be more mainstream. According to a Stanford SPARQ study conducted in the university dining hall, researchers found that 41% more diners served themselves the main vegetable dish when it had an indulgent label than when it had a healthy label, and 25% more diners choose the indulgently labeled vegetable than the basic one. We also know from other researches that unfortunately, sustainability is also beaten by title. With our app, we are not here to try to change human psychology, but rather, to work with it. Therefore we are following science-based guidelines such as the one mentioned above to craft recipe titles and mainstream plant-based foods into everyday diets.
