"Byron is beloved by the Orlando, FL community. He is a veteran driver and one of our very first drivers in Orlando. He handles most of our school donations with Orange County Public Schools, and nonprofits always love his positive attitude, dedication and communication. Byron has developed relationships with school staff and nonprofits alike, and our food recovery program in Orlando wouldn’t be the same without him. He is always willing to jump in and help - like when we hired a professional photographer to photograph the food recovery work with OCPS - and now his photo is everywhere (hint, hint on the main page of our website!) Byron keeps spirits high and is an important part of our team." - Emily Grant Director of Florida Operations

We can't thank our truck drivers enough! It's National Truck Driver Appreciation Day. Our drivers help keep food safe en route to the nonprofits we work with. One reason our logo is a truck is to acknowledge how central transportation and logistics are in food recovery. If you know any truck drivers, make sure to show them extra love today 💙

We loved working with @musicallyfed during the @seahearnow festival in Asbury Park, NJ, last month! We were able to recover over 1,000 pounds of food this year and deliver it to 6 local organizations. Special shout out to Allie Wilson, Director of Northeast Operations, and our driver, Jess, for all the work they did on-site 💙

Allie Wilson, our Director of Northeast Operations, went to the Meal Recovery Coalition Launch hosted by Share My Meals Inc. The coalition launch brought together organizations across the state to discuss strategies and build partnerships to help provide meals to New Jerseyans facing food insecurity. Here is one of Allie's favorite quotes from the event, “We spend so much time focusing on fighting food insecurity, that we don’t spend time working on creating food security”- NJ Office of the Food Security Advocate
