Located in Glendale, Kentucky, the 3.9 million sq. ft. BlueOval SK, LLC battery park is the first of its kind for Ford Motor Company. Once completed, the electric vehicle battery plant will have an annual capacity of 43GW, producing batteries for future Ford and Lincoln electric vehicles. Recently, the Engineering News-Record story "Sparking the Future: Ford's $5.8B Battery Plant Advances" highlighted the plant's journey toward completion. Dancing Line Chaise | Jennifer M. Kolstad x Jaime Velez Recently, The Henry Ford has added the award-winning Dancing Line Chaise to the museum's permanent collection. The chaise’s design is an effortless blend of unconventional geometry and diverse materials, allowing for a functional yet sleek modern design. The Dancing Line Chaise was designed through the collaboration of architects Jaime Velez and Jennifer Kolstad, Ford Motor Company’s Global Design & Brand Director. They created the piece in 2008 for a group exhibit in the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center composed of pieces designed exclusively by architects.
