About us
Evrys Bio is a privately held biotech focused on Antivirals. We were founded on breakthrough discoveries from Princeton University. Whereas immuno-oncology drugs engage the patient’s immune system to fight cancer, Evrys Bio antivirals target special human proteins, known as sirtuins, enhancing their natural ability to fight powerful infections. Because the function of sirtuins is essential for different viruses, Evrys Bio antivirals address many, if not all, of the viruses that cause a given infectious disease. For example, our vision is that an Evrys Bio product will address hepatitis caused by hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus. Current products only address one or the other, not both. Furthermore, because sirtuins are the patient’s own proteins, viruses cannot rapidly develop drug-resistance against sirtuin-targeted drugs, completely transforming the way we treat and cure viral infections today. We are located in Doylestown PA, United States.

Thrilling update from Louis Kassa in today's Philadelphia Business Journal! Having served as CEO since July 2022, Lou applauds the achievements of the Academic Innovation Zone (AIZ) program, deeming it a standout success during his 10-year leadership. But there is still more to be done in attracting funding for the Greater Philadelphia Region. The AIZ program, supported by a $5 million grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, has already benefited 11 companies, creating over 20 new jobs with potential for more. Lou is seeking additional state support to continue this impactful program. The AIZ program provides funding, lab space, supplies, and staffing help to early-stage life sciences companies at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center in Doylestown and B₊labs in Ucity life sciences incubators. The goal is to attract and retain life sciences companies in Pennsylvania. With more funding, Lou aims to scale up the program, supporting more companies and bringing academic innovations to life. In the spirit of collaboration, Lou expresses hope that the huge success of the AIZ program can influence Office of Governor Josh Shapiro and the Pennsylvania State House to consider a larger investment in the state.
