Architecture happens at many different scales, from towering buildings to shade structures at a park. Most importantly architecture is about enhancing the human experience! Pictured here is Formative’s design of a shade sculpture at Rio Rancho Campus Park, designed in partnership with our friends at Pland Collaborative, Luchini Trujillo Structural Engineers, and fabricated by Pascetti Steel Design, Inc. 📸: Patrick Coulie Photography . Be sure to visit our website to watch a video filmed by Apollo Road showcasing the fabrication of the shade sculpture! . . . #Architecture #Scale #HumanExperience #Design #FormativeArchitecture

Formative has partnered with Franken Construction on a new Skilled Nursing Home Facility for Rio Arriba County. The first of its kind in the County, the 33,000 square foot facility will offer 60 skilled nursing beds and 12 rehabilitation beds. The larger program and design lends itself to healing with natural materials, shaded outdoor spaces, plenty of natural light, a gym, and multi-use activity rooms. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2025. . . . #FormativeArchitecture #Design #SkilledNursing #NaturalMaterials #Renderings #DesignBuild

We will never take for granted the stunning landscapes of New Mexico. Traveling around the state we are often reminded to pause and take in simple moments like gazing at a clear starry night sky near Carlsbad, NM. There is nothing quite like it. 📸: Jethro Swavely . . . #Formative #Architecture #NightSky #NewMexico #AppreciationPost

We love kicking off new projects with site visits, especially when it’s in a beautiful place like the New Mexico Reforestation Center in Mora, NM! Architectural design is a team effort, and we often invite the entire office to participate in these exciting beginnings. There's nothing quite like seeing the potential of a project site firsthand to ignite our creativity! #SiteVisit #TeamWork #NewProject #Architecture

We worked with YES Housing, Inc. and the Agri-Cultura Cooperative Network on a conceptual design for a new aggregator facility. These renderings were created to assist in securing funding for this exciting project located in the Mountain View Community of the South Valley. Currently planned for a site that was previously used for agricultural purposes, this project will help bring locally produced and sustainable food to the community in the future! What a view! We have a very cool project currently under construction, the Eagle Nest Comfort Station. What is a comfort station you may ask? It provides campers with restroom facilities, showers, shade, and drinking water stations. With gorgeous views of Eagle Nest Lake and the surrounding mountains, the project is expected to wrap up construction later this year. Work completed with Cobb Fendley and New Mexico State Parks 🔨 : #esaconstruction • • • #refuge #nmstatepark #naturalarchitecture #outdoors #campgrounds #getoutside #nmarchitects #local #northernnm #nmoutdoors

We are so excited to welcome Richard Pham to our team! Richard will be joining the team as an architectural associate. He has valuable experience in a variety of project types including education - pre-k through higher ed - commercial office, manufacturing, and aquatics facilities. He thrives on the challenge of learning new skills, whether it's completing construction document sets, designing a new building type, or figuring out complex construction details. Outside of work, Richard loves engaging himself in creative outlets like drawing or tackling home improvement projects. When he has time, he also enjoys solo travel, which gives him the opportunity to immerse himself in new cultures. We're excited to have Richard on board and look forward to the unique perspectives he'll bring to our team!
