📸✨ Building connections, capturing joy, and creating moments that matter! At Cooper Elementary, we believe in the power of relationships—and this week, we saw that belief come to life in the most heartwarming way. Our students first met the residents of Friendship Haven when they were in 3rd grade, and over time, their bond has only grown stronger. Seeing them reunite—sharing stories, laughter, and smiles—was a beautiful reminder of what makes our district so special: Everyone matters. Everyone belongs. Everyone thrives. ❤️ A special thank you to the Iowa Central Community College Photography Program for hosting a pop-up photo event that captured these unforgettable moments. Your talent and generosity helped preserve memories that will be cherished for years to come! 📰 : Read more in The Messenger: https://lnkd.in/gyF4j4eV

🌸 Learning, Creating, and Giving Back! 🌸 Last week, students in Mr. Hennessey's Intro to Agriculture B class at Fort Dodge Senior had an unforgettable experience! 🎓 With guidance from Ms. Hays—our incredible FDSH School Counselor and owner of Flour & Bloom at Evergreen Hill—students dove into the art of floral arrangements. 💐 From learning professional techniques to crafting their own beautiful bouquets, our students showcased creativity, teamwork, and thoughtfulness. The best part? They gifted their bouquets to staff members, spreading joy across our school! 🌟 This is just one example of how we create hands-on, meaningful learning opportunities where everyone matters, belongs, and thrives. Aaron Miller was a true Dodger, through and through. His unwavering dedication to the Fort Dodge Community School District left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students, colleagues, and community members. Aaron gave his time, talents, and heart to our schools, and his influence will be felt for years to come. As a committed educator, Aaron believed in the potential of every individual. He encouraged those around him to strive for excellence, inspiring students and colleagues alike to become the best versions of themselves. Aaron wore many hats throughout his time with FDCSD—teacher, administrator, coach, mentor, and friend. In each of these roles, he brought passion, compassion, and an unshakable belief in the power of education to change lives. To know Aaron was to experience his genuine kindness and his steadfast commitment to others. He built relationships that mattered. He offered guidance, support, and encouragement to all who crossed his path. Aaron’s ability to connect with people on a deep and personal level made him a cherished figure not just in our school community, but in Fort Dodge as a whole. While his absence leaves an undeniable void, the legacy of Aaron Miller will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. We are all better for having had Aaron in our lives—a Dodger through and through, who embodied the very best of what it means to serve and uplift others. Rest in peace, Aaron. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be Friday, January 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at FDMS Auditorium. Service for Aaron will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 18 at FDMS Auditorium. Please wear your Dodger apparel in honor of Aaron. #proud2bFD

✨ New Year, New Beginnings: Where Everyone Matters, Everyone Belongs, Everyone Thrives As we step into the new year, we reflect on the incredible ways our students embody the values of our district. Last week, our students at Butler Elementary participated in a meaningful service project that truly showcased the power of community and compassion. With donated fleece, they worked together to create 14 beautiful tie blankets for two women’s shelters in Fort Dodge. This project was more than just crafting; it was about learning the importance of giving back, building teamwork, and experiencing the pride that comes from helping others. We are so proud of our students for demonstrating that everyone matters and for helping create a community where everyone belongs and thrives. Building a brighter future together. Looking to join our district? Check out our career opportunities today! Let's make 2025 a year of impact and growth for all. #FDCSD #FDelem #proud2bFD
