  • 🎉 National Customer Service Week 🎉 This week, we proudly celebrated our incredible Customer Service team, which includes Teresa, who has been in customer service for seven years; Brandie and Christy, who have been in customer service for 1.5 years ago; and Nancy, who has been on board in customer service for 6 months. They expressed that what they enjoy most about their roles is the opportunity to learn, build meaningful relationships with customers, and provide the exceptional service they believe every consumer deserves—all while working alongside a fantastic team. When asked for advice for those looking to enter the customer service field, they emphasized the importance of familiarizing yourself with your industry, maintaining a positive attitude, empathy, technology proficiency, organization, and a willingness to learn and adapt. We extend a heartfelt FRI THANK YOU! to our amazing Customer Service Team for their dedication and hard work! 👏👏👏

Believing I could make a decent income in tech, I started this path. It's exciting to work with new tech and tackle challenges—every success brings a great sense of accomplishment! What advice would you give: Find something you really love to do and get good at it. Learn how to work with many different kinds of people. Never be afraid to mess up: try, fail, and adjust. • Meet Val! Our 2nd member of the IT Team here at FRI! What inspired you: I enjoy problem solving. As frustrating as some computer and networking issues can be…the sense of accomplishment after resolving something is rewarding. What advice would you give: 2) I advise today’s IT professionals is to be personable. A lot of issues can be resolved by just picking up the phone and calling the end user. Not everything comes through in an email. That or a restart 😆! Everyone’s favorite resolution!

  • 1st IT Team Member: Andy! What inspired you: At 12, my parents bought a wireless adapter for our Xbox, and after hours of struggle, our IT-savvy neighbor set it up in under 10 minutes. Witnessing that "magic" sparked my passion for IT, and I've dedicated myself to helping others ever since! What advice would you give: My best advice for anyone starting a career in IT is to gain as much real-world experience as possible, even if it means accepting low or no pay. Certifications and college teach you the basics, but hands-on experience is crucial for tackling real IT challenges. Your first job might involve simple tasks like setting up workstations, but it’s the perfect starting point. As you gain experience, you’ll discover your preferred specialization, whether it's server administration, software development, or networking. Remember, IT is vast, and having a broad understanding of various disciplines will serve you well! #InspiredByIT
