We are excited to introduce Fortera’s Verified Carbon Credits program—a comprehensive solution to CO2 mitigation. 🌎 Here’s what you need to know about our program: 🏗️ Our ReCarb® process permanently converts industrial CO2 to low-carbon, ready-to-use cement. That means CO2 that would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere is transformed into a usable product, creating permanent and measurable CO2 mitigation. ✅ Fortera's carbon credits will be listed under trusted registries and validated by third-party verification. 🌐 Each carbon credit supports the installation and operation of ReCarb® plants, creating an opportunity to achieve measurable climate impact at an industrial scale. Those who have gone through the challenges of commercial scale-up know how critical capital cost optimization is for the success of first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects. To hit targets and ensure feasibility, it is essential to rigorously assess the design scope and optimize for every aspect of the design. I wanted to thank Fortera’s Process Development Team for driving this effort and allowing us to hit our targets. Thank you to Mike Weiss (my co-founder and process guru), Connor Fleming, Robert Salisbury, Fionna Lim, and the broader engineering, project development, and R&D teams for making this happen. #teamappreciation #sustainability #FOAK #greencement

Fortera Establishes 12 Years of Sustainable Infrastructure in Santa Cruz! 🌿 Here's what Craig Hargis, VP of Products shared about this project: “In August of 2012, Caltrans and the City of Santa Cruz placed a 300-foot-long sidewalk connecting La Fonda Ave and Park Way Ct. ReAct Blend and Class F Fly Ash were paired together to enhance the physical and environmental performance of the concrete. Over the past 12 years, the sidewalk has enabled the transit of hundreds of pedestrians and cyclists daily as they make their way to Harbor High School and the Santa Cruz Adult School. In September of 2024, we revisited the site to inspect the concrete and were pleased to find it in excellent condition. Shrinkage cracks occurred at control joints, and the concrete surface maintained a good broom finish. Next time you are in Santa Cruz catching a wave or enjoying the Boardwalk, don't forget to check out some low-carbon concrete.” The case study can be found at https://lnkd.in/dMByaJFX. #CaseStudy #GreenCement #SustainableConcrete #Demonstration
