Thanks to everyone who came to our meet and greet event in Erie! We listened to many different community members from all sorts of backgrounds (Independent, Republican, Democrat, Other third parties) who all expressed frustration with the current political environment and a yearning to make a change. Regardless of what “side” you are on, the opportunity to persuade rather than educate (read “attack”) is enticing. So glad to have recently “leveled-up” from Republican (where I spent years urging other R’s to communally pull our heads out and be a party for America rather than a dumpster fire going over a cliff) to joining the FORWARD Party. (Colorado Forward Party) And believe it or not, this is not a political post … it’s a warning. A warning about the contamination of politics, which has occurred within the United States, and how desperately perilous it is for U.S. citizens to blithely accept that the two parties can or will do anything to break the destructive cycle WHICH THEY CREATED for their profits and power. The only thing the two parties cooperate on any more is the ruthless exclusion of alternative points of view. Do you want to destroy the country? Because that’s how you destroy a country.

We are celebrating the defeat of extremism in #colorado in both the #democrat and #republican primaries, including the Democratic National Committee’s selfish, cynical support of MAGA extremists in #GOP primaries. Once again in Colorado this “party before country” strategy has been rejected by voters. Now if we could only do something about CD4 where Colorado stands to be embarrassed on the national stage for another two years. C’mon #weldcounty, what are you thinking?
