During #BreastCancer Awareness Month and beyond, we’re proud to recognize and honor our patients. Hear more from Teresa, who shared a little bit about her experience with genomic testing. The stories that we hear from patients continue to inspire us and the work that we do to advance access to precision medicine.

Our annual Hackathon brings together employees across functions to brainstorm creative solutions to key business challenges. Through 2.5 days of meaningful collaboration, colleagues worked together in ad hoc teams, stepping out of their day-to-day roles, to form new ideas and initiatives aimed at bettering our business. We ended the Hackathon with a final judging ceremony and the announcement of winners. We are proud to celebrate the innovation and creativity of all of those who participated and congratulate the winning team! #WeAreFMI

Today we recognize Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Metastatic breast cancer is cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body. While metastatic breast cancer is not curable, it is treatable, and researchers are continually developing more effective treatments. We’re proud to support Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the resources they provide for the metastatic breast cancer community. At Foundation Medicine, we are proud to foster an inclusive and diverse environment, where all individuals can bring their authentic selves to work every day. Today, we recognize National Coming Out Day – we asked some of our LGBTQ+ colleagues what coming out meant to them and what they wanted to share with others who are in the process of coming out. Read through below for some of the things they had to share.
