    Looking forward to being in Indianapolis next month for the RALLY Innovation Conference! I'm told this is one of the biggest gatherings for startup founders and investors in the Midwest .... So, when Midwest House invited Founders N' Funders to team up on an event, we were thrilled to participate! I've been part of startups based in Silicon Valley and worked with tons of founders with their HQ in other coastal startup hubs. I have also been part of multiple startups located in between the coasts, including Forecastr, which is based in Louisville, KY. There can be obvious advantages for startup founders located in established coastal startup hubs like SF, NYC, Boston, LA, etc. The shear volume of startup founders and venture investors in these communities is a huge benefit. The knowledge sharing, connections, resources are natural byproducts. And founders learn fast when they are immersed in the startup metaverse 24x7. So, what about the founders in what is often termed the "flyover zone"? Events like the Rally Innovation Conference help to level the playing field a bit by providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, connections and community on a larger scale. While it's often assumed easier for founders on the coasts, the reality is that every geography has its challenges. And when it comes to operating a business or raising capital, there are certain things you can do to increase the likelihood of success regardless of where your company HQ is. I wanted to share a recent article by Logan Burchett, Co-Founder at Forecastr about "How to Raise Capital in the Midwest". Logan is an expert on this topic, as he has helped Forecastr raise 4 consecutive over-subscribed rounds of funding --- even during what has been one of the most challenging fundraising environments for founders in recent history.
