What are some fall pests that our Fox team sees a lot of during the Fall season? It's exciting to see your children go back to school and connect with their classmates again! What's not so exciting is the pests that they can bring back home during this time of year. With college-aged students moving into a new dorms, and younger students coming back home from sleepovers, this season makes it more likely for your loved ones to bring home some unwanted hitchhikers from their adventures. One pest that is an expert at moving between homes is the dreaded bed bug, and they travel when you do.

I just completed a summer selling with Fox Pest Control, and it was a truly life-changing experience! Here are a few lessons I learned along the way: 1. Be Bold. Boldness is what turns "networking" into tangible results. People appreciate clarity and confidence in what you want from the relationship. Whether or not they buy your product, qualifying the lead is a win. Boldness helps you achieve that. 2. Time is Money. My fastest contact-to-close took under 3 minutes. The potential customer was interested, but she only had 10 minutes before picking up her daughter from school. I adapted my pitch, closed the deal, and got her scheduled, all within that tight window. If I had wasted time at an uninterested neighbor's house or taken a break, that opportunity would have slipped away. Every minute counts. 3. Persistence Pays Off. In 82 days of knocking, I sold and serviced 250 pest control accounts. Most customers initially said no—sometimes multiple times—before deciding to sign up. The key difference was often a small reservation that needed to be resolved. Many sales are lost because a customer feels their questions weren’t fully addressed. Don't take "no" at face value; push to understand and resolve any concerns.

Because active termite colonies don't sleep! They have the entire day to spend chewing through the wood inside and outside of your home, which can lead to thousands of dollars of damage.
