When a successful local CEO who just launched her second company said this to me, it really hit a nerve. Yes, men are definitely stepping up and doing more domestic labor than their fathers did, but Pew Research Center finds, even in marriages where wives earn as much as their husbands, men have 3.5 hours more leisure time each week, and women spend more than twice as many hours (4.6 hours a week vs. 1.9 hours a week) on caregiving. I'm learning about the unique challenges female entrepreneurs face, the biggest mistakes women make, and what author/podcaster and local accountability coach Amanda McKinney does to set women like Amy Buchan Siegfried up for success. "What's your purpose?" It's a question Kiely Shimabukuro tells me she struggled to answer for a long time. But now she's convinced her purpose is surrogacy--- helping couples who want nothing more than to become parents and advocating for surrogates.
