    Data collection for forestry, timber, and agriculture currently relies on manual techniques which are labor-intensive and time-consuming. TreeScope is the first semantically segmented lidar dataset collected with robotic systems in agricultural environments. It provides lidar data and ground-truth data for semantic segmentation and diameter estimation from agricultural environments to address the counting and mapping of trees in forestry and orchards. This example visualizes data from their custom sensor platform, including sensor data from lidar, IMU, GPS, RGBD and thermal cameras, along with ground-truth data with over 1,800 manually annotated semantic labels for the tree stems and field measurements of tree diameters. Check out their Github repo for an overview on how to use the data and benchmark scripts to evaluate the performance of diameter estimation and semantic segmentation algorithms, along with their website for more info. The Treescope dataset has been provided by the research of Vijay Kumar, Dean of Penn Engineering and Kumar Robotics, Derek Cheng, Fernando Cladera, Ankit Prabhu, Xu Liu, Alan Zhu, Patrick Corey Green, Reza Ehsani, PhD, and Pratik Chaudhari.     Learn how to visualize an Isaac Sim simulation in real time using Foxglove’s custom extension. Let's go! 🤖 🚀 Many robotics engineers use NVIDIA Omniverse’s popular Isaac Sim to simulate and test robotic systems in a realistic 3D environment, enabling effective algorithm development and validation without the need for physical prototypes. While most simulation environments offer a UI to visualize the simulated “ground truth,” it’s also valuable to view the simulation from the robot’s perspective. This provides key insights into the robot’s decision-making processes and allows for closer monitoring of its interactions with the environment.     🥏 Foxglove 2.14.0 has shipped! 🥏 Highlight: You can now retry or download failed imports directly from the Import Errors tab on the Recordings page. Simply click the ⁝ menu on any row in the table and select Retry or Download to take action on the quarantined file. This release also comes with: 🌎 Clicking the Plot button in a Raw Messages panel defined with a global variable will now pass the variable reference—rather than the current value—to the new Plot panel. 📝 Improved memory optimization for plots and state transitions for recorded sources. 🎆 Collada textures can now load on the desktop app. 🍳 Panning in a Plot panel no longer causes current time indicator on the playback bar to jump around. 💜 And much more...
