Exciting times for design and construction in the DMV! FOXXSTEM was proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor of District of Columbia Quality Initiative (DCQI) this week! Discussion topics included upcoming infrastructure project opportunities, cutting-edge technologies, and successful project delivery! One of our favorite moments? Director Sharon Kershbaum of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) highlighted the DC Smart Street Lighting Project as a notable program exhibiting innovation, sustainability, and collaborative project delivery through a P3 model. Our FOXXSTEM team provided lighting design services on this project, and we think it's pretty special too! ✨ ~ Melissa

I am excited to see our #acecmw board members, past presidents and members rally around the vision of being good stewards in the community we live, work and play. The ACEC/MW team was at the beautiful national harbor in Prince George’s County, Maryland supporting the 5K Walk/Run benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Kamran Ghavami, PhD, PE, thank you for your tireless effort in making this community event a success! I wish, I could be there, but was camping last night with little Arthur. I cannot wait to see what other exciting community events the program and engagement committee hosts. To all who participated and donated thank you. We are always looking for great ideas to rally around, so please share. 🎂 Wishing the Happiest of Birthdays to one of our fantastic Field Inspectors, Mussie Hadgu! 🎂 On Friday, Anna Seekins and Christopher Hensley went to visit Mussie's project site in the Takoma neighborhood of DC. They saw Mussie in action and grabbed a celebratory lunch nearby. Mussie is currently serving as the Quality Assurance Inspector on the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) Alleyway Revitalization Project. Mussie's warm personality, attention to detail, and strong work ethic have established him as a valued member of the FOXXSTEM team and any project teams that he is a part of. We are so lucky to have you, Mussie! Thank you for all the work you do!
