We participated in Chattanooga Design Studio's Park(ing) Day last week. Broad Street was transformed, one parking space at a time, to create an urban fabric that is human-centered rather than automobile focused. This fostered a dreamy streetscape that inspired activity, playfulness, and connection. FA's installation (RETRO)SPECULATION combines the concepts of retrospection and speculation, an invitation to envision the future of Chattanooga's streets by reflecting on their past and present. We believe that delving into the rich history of our city's streets and thoughtfully assessing their current state is crucial for imagining their potential. With the client's vision as our guide, 4,600 square feet on the 17th floor of Liberty Towers has been thoughtfully redesigned to optimize natural lighting, foster collaboration, and allow areas of respite for their employees. Notable elements include an operable window system offering fresh air and panoramic city views, new furnishings, a timber trellis for acoustics, and a convenient coffee bar.
