This past week was Business Appreciation Week organized by the Frederick County Office of Economic Development! This annual event is all about celebrating and recognizing the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our local businesses, which are the backbone of our vibrant community. Madelyn Wilson and Shelby Maly proudly served as ambassadors, visiting some of the many businesses that make Frederick County a thriving place to live and work. Through initiatives like Business Appreciation Week, we can show our dedication to uplifting our local businesses. This week was an excellent opportunity to thank them for their contributions to our economy and community. Here's to the businesses that make Frederick County special—and to all who support them!

One of the many exciting benefits of being a member of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is exclusive access to a variety of functional spaces at our office, located at 118 North Market Street! Take it from our member, Rachelle Rohner, "I am especially grateful for their drop in work spaces. With my crazy running around schedule I love having this option of space to drop in and work between meetings or even meet with clients in person or via zoom like I did today. Such a great benefit and it’s right in the heart of downtown Frederick. Major bonus, I get to see some really cool friendly faces while I’m there!!!!" Next time you're downtown and need a place to work or meet, we invite you to stop by - our office is the ideal place to take a break, get productive, or simply enjoy a change of scenery during your busy day. At the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, our mission of advocating for our members dates back over a century, and we’re proud to continue that tradition today! We recently discovered a powerful poster from 1966, generously shared by Rocky MacIntosh of MACRO. Rocky’s father was actively involved with the Chamber during that time, which exemplifies how generations of local leaders have engaged with us to drive the growth and prosperity of Frederick County’s business community. While much has changed since 1966, our commitment to advocating for the success of Frederick County's businesses remains as strong as ever. Whether it's supporting local entrepreneurs, influencing policy decisions, or fostering innovation, we are dedicated to ensuring that Frederick continues to be a thriving place to live, work, and grow. As we reflect on this piece of history, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of our local economy. From workforce development to infrastructure improvements, your Chamber is actively engaged in advocacy efforts that matter to YOU.
