✨ Reflecting on an Inspiring Evening: Beauty in Brokenness ✨
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us at the Beauty in Brokenness storytelling event, hosted by Freely in Hope in partnership with Lava Latte in Nairobi, Kenya. It was a fun, inspiring and memorable evening.
Our theme, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, reminded us that embracing and repairing our struggles with love makes us stronger and more beautiful. We were honored to share and listen to stories of healing, courage, and transformation within our community.
Highlights from the Event
🌟 Trizah Gakwa, our Africa Regional Director, shared her powerful personal journey, highlighting the importance of making the world safer for women and girls.
🌟 Velma, one of our scholars, shared her experiences and the significance of holistic education.
🌟 Stellah, an alumna, spoke about her career path and the support she received along the way.
🌟 A joyful dance session led by Franco from ChezaCheza reminded us of the power of community and movement.
🌟 Maryanne, our Child Protection Coordinator, shared her vision for a safer world for children.
It was inspiring to see just how universal and yet deeply personal our experiences are and to be reminded of the power of community in supporting each other to thrive. Together, we can support survivors, advocate for change, and build a world where everyone can thrive.
We can’t wait to see you at the next event! Want to learn more about the next one? Comment on this post!
