About us
Freeport Welding & Fabricating, Inc. is a manufacturer of ASME pressure vessels and products, API tanks, Piping, and custom fabrication. Freeport Welding specializes in custom, large, and exotic metal fabrication, up to 25' diameters and 300' long. Our main shop is 3 bays, 700' long with additional space and shop located onsite fully outfitted like the large shop. 150,000 SQ FT of fabrication space lifting over 500 tons at times. We currently have over 1,500 qualified WPS/PQRS, are experts with clad and overlay fabrication, have successfully completed some of the most complex projects in the US, and are able to ship via highway, rail, or barge via the Brazos River. We also dedicate a section of our shop and crew for turnaround projects and can work 24/7 when needed.

We wish to thank Roy and Peggy Yates for their generous donation to our museum expansion project! After the museum's demonstrated growth, Freeport City Council unanimously approved museum expansion on June 3rd into a part of our facility originally rented out to Brazosport College. This space, which is attached to our exhibit hall, features a large front lobby, restrooms, much needed office and museum storage space, and a dedicated IT room. Our museum expansion will become the Nat Hickey Education Center and will allow us space for larger museum programming such as messy field trip activities, historical lectures, summer and archaeology camps, adult paint and sips, and more that fit the scope and benefit of the museum and our community. We are seeking donors to help us renovate the space. Renovations would include facility repairs, fresh paint, new tiles, new shelving for museum storage, devices for environmental monitoring, etc. Would you or your organization like to make an impactful contribution? Loaded on the barge and ready to float! 🚢 Managing logistics for massive pieces of equipment is one of the many values we bring to our customers as an EPC. Weighing in at 1.2MM lbs - this 16' diameter, 200' tall fractionation tower will be delivered to one of our project sites early next week, where it will be insulated and dressed before being set in place.
