Freight Freedom is excited to share that we will be attending an incredible event focused on supplier diversity and inclusion at BMW Purchasing and Supplier Network Americas in Greenville SC This time, we have decided to be more intentional and really make the most out of the experience. Here's what we are doing differently this year: ✔ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬: We are reaching out to speakers on LinkedIn ahead of time, so I can build relationships and gain insights even before the event starts. ✔ 𝐁𝐌𝐖 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝟏 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫: We are diving deep into learning how we can position our business to become a BMW Tier 1 supplier. This is a huge opportunity, and we are eager to explore it fully. ✔ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: We are getting more intentional with our marketing materials to ensure they reflect our brand and resonate with potential customers. ✔ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐔𝐩 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲: We are committed to following up properly after the event to convert connections into customers. No missed opportunities this time! ✔ 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Above all, we are focusing on being genuine, having fun, and truly engaging with others. For those who might not know, this event’s mission is close to our heart. BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC believes in the inclusion of disabled, minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, and LGBT-owned companies in their procurement process. By prioritizing diversity, they’re building strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, promoting equity and inclusion, and creating sustainable value for customers, shareholders, and society at large and Freight Freedom wants to be part of it. If anyone wants to meet, please let me know—we would love to connect! 🌟 #SupplierDiversity #WomenInBusiness #Networking #BMW #Logistics #Entrepreneurship

I received this message from one of the award-winning writers here on LinkedIn: We all know logistics is a very specific niche. Most LinkedIn experts will turn you down if you ask for help with copywriting, and many will fail if you request lead generation assistance. How do I know? I've tried with two different ghostwriters on LinkedIn with over 100k followers, and both declined, stating my niche was too specific. When I explained my target audience, they got even more confused by the titles and terminology. If I were to organize the sequences for career growth in the logistics industry, I might structure it like this

If I were to organize the sequences for career growth in the logistics industry, I might structure it like this: 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫: Start as a truck driver to gain firsthand experience in transportation logistics. 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫: Transition to becoming an owner-operator, taking on more responsibility and autonomy. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫: Move into a dispatcher role to broaden your understanding of logistics operations and planning. 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫: Progress to becoming a fleet owner, managing a larger operation and multiple drivers. 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Advance in logistics management positions, overseeing broader aspects of transportation operations and strategy. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭: Transition into a freight broker agent role, gaining experience in negotiating freight deals and managing client relationships. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫: Finally, consider starting your own freight brokerage, leveraging your expertise and network to build a successful business. When it comes to building a career in logistics, there's no one-size-fits-all approach. From truck driving to freight brokerage ownership, the possibilities are diverse and abundant. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲? (𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬)

So why do some leaders fail to delegate effectively? ✔ 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 ✔ 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 ✔ 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 ✔ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤 ✔ 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 ✔ 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭 ✔ 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 ✔ 𝐀𝐧 '𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭' 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 If you recognize yourself in any of these issues above, you probably aren't delegating enough. I used to be one of those who fell into the trap of habitual behavior—believing it was faster to do things myself and clinging to a 'I do it best' mindset. However, I eventually found myself exhausted and tired. It wasn't until I made the decision to step back, trust the process, and be patient enough to explain one more time that I began to see positive changes. So, if you're feeling tired, exhausted, or stressed in your business, it might be the perfect time to delegate. P.S. Transporting oversized transformers has been both enjoyable and educational.

Learnt a lot while moving this big guy ( 58000 lb, 132 high, 142 wide 132 length transformer) As a freight broker, we often lack insight into the carrier side, especially regarding the permit process, as we're not the ones directly responsible for obtaining permits. Our primary goal is to ensure the timely, safely pickup and delivery of the load. However, there are additional complexities involved . Some key takeaways from moving this large oil transformer are: ✔ Ordering Permits: It's crucial to order permits for all states the load will traverse. ✔Sequential Permit Ordering: You can initiate the process by ordering the permit for the first state and coordinating with the carrier driver while waiting for permits from subsequent states. ✔Negotiating Discounts: If not ordering directly from the state website, always inquire about potential discounts. ✔Detailed Equipment Knowledge: Understanding the equipment in detail, including both the truck and trailer specifications, such as dimensions, axles, and tire sizes, is essential. This is a great learning experience as I try to move more oversize loads as a freight broker . Even though some people try to put me down in my previous post about dispatching I will be continuing learning and serving my customers the best possible way

🏆 Reflecting on a fantastic night at the Freight Tec Award party! Have received not just one, but TWO awards – one for gross profit and another for the margin. The second one was a nice surprise! 🌟 Celebrating our achievements with a yummy meal and enjoying some private time at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium made the evening truly memorable. It's incredibly rewarding to see the hard work pay off. 🚀 Now, looking forward to some well-deserved relaxation – tubing in Soldier Hollow Nordic Center and exploring the famous Ice castles! Grateful for the recognition and excited for what lies ahead. Rachael Kauffold, CTB #FreightTecAwards #HardWorkPaysOff #TeamSuccess #Gratitude #CelebrationTime
