Want to kick off the year in a really healthy way? Fostering a dog might be just what you need for physical and emotional wellbeing! Recent studies show that people who have fostered dogs report that they're both happier and more active. Oh, and fostering is REALLY good for dogs! (Buster Brown and Cusco, both pictured here, can attest to that!) We've got some very friendly, easygoing dogs who could use foster homes right now. (Short or long term.) We supply all food, leashes, bowls, etc, and take care of any medical expenses while they're in foster. If you'd like to find out about dogs who might fit into your life, come to our main shelter at 1590 Fortmann Way between 11 and 4 Wednesday thru Sunday and we'll talk about what could work for you! If you'd like to read more about fostering, you can get into the weeds in this excellent new scoping review on the topic https://lnkd.in/gN3BZdfp

As we say good-bye to 2024, we're so grateful that no matter how long it takes to adopt out one of our animals, FAAS can be here for them. Very good boy Buster Brown was with us for 1.5 years. It broke our hearts that he was going to spend another Christmas with us, so we did a big push to get him adopted. The results? Read his heartwarming story.
