On Thursday, Oct. 24, FSS Suncoast Contracts Department and group home providers got together for a themed "tailgating" lunch with fun contests! The teams meet regularly to foster partnership and share resources to these providers. Staff wore the jersey of their favorite team. These teams demonstrate one of FSS' core values: partnership. Andrew Rodriguez, Missing Child Specialist with Family Support Services Pasco & Pinellas Counties (fourth from right in gold tie), was recently recognized for his work with the United States Marshals Service. Rodriguez and FSS were able to work closely with the Marshals service and other participating agencies to locate several missing, high-risk youth and bring them to safety. The next cohort of CORE Teen Training starts Nov. 5! Critical Ongoing Resource Family Education (CORE) is a trauma-based training that helps families in the system of care navigate the ups and downs of parenting children with strong emotional and behavioral tendencies.
