According to a recent study by NAPCO Media, two of the top five criteria listed by print service providers when selecting an inkjet press were about service and support. 93% of providers surveyed said “Service and support offered by the vendor” is extremely/very important, which was tied for the most important criteria overall. 92% of providers said “Customer support offered with press” is extremely/very important, which was the fourth most important concern. Concord Direct turned to Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions for a custom press that combined a Fujifilm Unigraphica TransJet transport and a FUJIFILM 46kUV Printbar System. “What we were happy to find is that Fujifilm not only had technology and inkjet solutions for us, but they were willing to customize some of the experiences,” said Scott Hirsch, plant manager of Concord Direct.  With a wide range of built-to-purpose inkjet printing systems, Fujifilm can provide unique combinations of print width, substrate, color, pretreatment, transport, and curing. With digital inkjet predicted to be the largest growth area in label print over the next 5-10 years, we’re excited to be heading to Labelexpo 2024 in Chicago.   We’ll be part of the Fujifilm contingent at Booth 3623 at the Donald E. One is the FUJIFILM 46kUV Inkjet Printbar, which was awarded one of the 2024 EDP Awards at drupa for specialty printing solutions.   It seamlessly integrates onto existing flexographic and other narrow web printing presses to add variable content such as codes and personalized information with the speed and quality delivered by the 1200 dpi FUJIFILM Dimatix Samba printhead®. The other new addition is the FUJIFILM DE1024, which adds gloss or tactile effects inline with the existing printing process. Matthew said, “I chose to join the team here at FujiFilm (FIIS) because of the wide use of different applications and the many opportunities that presents.” “I have been in inkjet for over 17 years,” he added, “It’s one of the industries that has every challenge you can have. When your print job is duplex, obviously the front page must correspond with the correct back page. This is one of the simplest forms of print synchronization. However, some printing synchronization challenges are much more complex. For example, multiple pages on multiple lines may need to all be synchronized so that the right group of pages gets bound together. One small error can result in a tremendous amount of waste.
