The connections formed and information shared show us we’re doing something valuable with Fulcrum, and we’re honored to be able to accelerate this collaboration. This past week, we welcomed the entire Fulcrum team to our headquarters in Minneapolis for our biannual company meeting. The company meeting is an opportunity for our team members to engage in deep work sessions where they can align on strategic objectives and get to know one another over food and drinks. We’ve found that this tradition allows us to strengthen our company culture while operating in a hybrid work environment—and it’s tons of fun! Thank you everyone for coming out.

Wow! A little less than two weeks into my Engineering Internship at Fulcrum my first PR has been completed. Feels surreal to already have such hands on experience in this industry. Excited to continue to make an impact!

Huge thank you to American Engineering & Metalworking for opening up their shop to us to tour and get our hands dirty! AEM is an expert fabrication shop based in North Canton Ohio. They’re a highly skilled team, and pride themselves in keeping up with the latest technology and techniques. Getting our engineering and design teams hands-on shop floor experience, and as much first hand knowledge as possible is core to our product development philosophy. We’ve toured hundreds of shops, but the depth they allowed us to integrate into their work was truly unique and informative. We can’t thank Kirk McCauley and the team enough. Here’s the team in action: • David Brett and Josh Kraker put some muscle into lasering and welding • Anna Erickson learned about AEM’s new TruBend Center 7020 panel bender from Dustin • Johnathon Taylor Soulis and Adam observed Anthony’s workflow on the machining software as he pointed out pitfalls in the setup he expertly identified and corrected • Alex Troesch and Yu Sunny Han went head to head on powder coating… who did it better? • Liam McCartney and Emily Lupico shadowed Matt in the shipping and receiving department • Josh and David Brett helped get a shipment ready to send out • Back in the office, Emily got a tutorial in quoting from Kirk, Anna learned how engineering creates BOM and routings from Andrew, and Josh learned about AEM’s accounting from Janice #manufacturing #manufacturingtech #manufacturingsoftware
