Absolutely believe in today's #famousfriday quote - hope you do too! In this series we looked at individual project management mindset shifts, different ways of thinking, that create game-changing results. However, putting them together is where the outcomes are magnified. This can be called “gestalt” – the whole is much greater than the sum of the parts: 1. Create an environment of “focus”, 2. “Protective capacity” is not waste, it accelerates flow, 3. Task contingency extends project durations and gets wasted – use “50/50”, most-likely estimates, 4. Protect the delivery commitment with a “project buffer”, 5. “Focus management attention” on highest project risks, and 6. Too many active projects significantly constrains flow: “stop starting and start finishing.” Changing these mindsets within your project environment allows you to take control of project outcomes and to engineer your highly productive future state instead of leaving it to chance. Future State Engineering is poised to assist your organization through our diverse training topics and project work. By partnering with FSE, you can feel confident that 1) you’re working with a team that has the best interests of your business in mind and 2) that we’ll lay out a pathway to get your organization to the next level.
