Say hi to Hannah! Hannah has been a PTA at FutureCare Good Samaritian for 8 years. When Hannah's dad fractured his hip, she helped take him to and from his physical therapy appointments. During that time, she learned a lot about physical therapy from his therapist and her love of therapy was born. She soon began shadowing the therapist before working as a rehab tech and going on to complete her PTA program. At FutureCare, she likes having access to various equipment to help her patients and collaborating with the other rehab disciplines to best serve our patients. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family. We're so grateful for you, Hannah!

Meet Carol, PTA at FutureCare Courtland. Carol has been a PTA for almost 42 years and has been with FutureCare going on 26 years. Growing up, Carol spent a lot of time helping at her mom's office at Sinai Hospital and she always enjoyed the environment and fast pace, which lead her to a career in physical therapy. Her favorite part of working at FutureCare, aside from seeing the progress with her patients, are the many friends she's made and the great teamwork among her coworkers. October is National Physical Therapy Month and all throughout the month, we'll be introducing you to some of our physical therapists (PT) and physical therapy assistants (PTA) who work to get you home faster and stronger. First up, meet Mary! Mary has been a PTA at FutureCare NorthPoint for seven years. Mary was motivated to become a PTA after seeing the positive impact physical therapy had on her dad's life. She was first introduced to FutureCare NorthPoint as a PTA student, completing one of her four rotations with us. During her time as a student, she was struck by the rehab team's teamwork and collaboration to better the lives of their patients. When asked about her favorite part of working at FutureCare, she said she loves "getting to work with our residents and build a rapport with them in order to personalize their care". She also notes the camaraderie makes the team feel like family. Thanks for all you do, Mary!
