🛫Insights from our Journey!🛫 Recently, GALAAD had the pleasure of being hosted at the ENAV ACC facility in #Rome (Ciampino) for its recurring Project Management Board meeting. Over two intensive days, we collaborated with SESAR representatives, reviewed project milestones, and set our sights on the future. 🔍On Day 1, we took a deep dive into the progress made so far, covering task updates, deliverables, and the status of validation efforts. The discussions also allowed us to follow up on the SPR-INTEROP/OSED workshop, which was led by Leonie Stieren from Deep Blue and Abrish Kafeel from NAIS, showcasing the collaboration of the entire team to ensure alignment with our project objectives. 🏢Day 2 built on these updates and concluded with a standout moment: a visit to ENAV’s National Test Facilities (#NTF), where we witnessed first-hand the cutting-edge infrastructure supporting our work. These two days have been pivotal in reflecting on our achievements and shaping the path forward—a future filled with new challenges and exciting milestones coming by the beginning of the year. 📢 We are pleased to announce the release of the #GALAAD project concept image, a fundamental visual representation that captures the essence of the innovative solution GALAAD aims to offer. 📐 📏 The creation process of this concept image was highly #collaborative, involving the entire consortium in every stage of the development. From a preliminary interactive workshop to continuous feedback loops among the project's partners, the team worked seamlessly together. Technical leaders provided significant help and feedback to the Dissemination, Visuals and Graphic Design team at Deep Blue, leader of the project communication, dissemination and exploitation activities. This synergy was crucial in creating a comprehensive and effective concept image. 🔎 The GALAAD concept proposes the activation or deactivation of #PBN route structures, such as trombones or point merges, based on factors such as time of day for noise control or traffic demand. This approach aims to avoid the use of complex route structures during periods of low demand, enabling agile responses to changes in operational conditions within the terminal area, such as traffic density, airspace availability, or environmental constraints.  💬 “Trying to represent both horizontal and vertical spaces, plus adding details like the city buildings and the different systems used in the project (zoom-ins), was just the starting point.” states Virginia Procopio, graphic designer at Deep Blue, “The main issue was to have a clear distinction between the GALAAD and the NON-GALAAD trajectory, representing it on a three dimensional plane in a two dimension format.” ➡ We invite you to explore this visual representation by clicking the post below.
