Our CEO Scott Wickstrom and Managing Director Joshua Gallagher are currently attending the SoDA: The Digital Society Global Member Meeting in the vibrant city of Copenhagen from September 24-27. 🌍 Josh has been able to capture some images from the trip so far, showcasing both the dynamic conference and the beautiful sights of the city! At G&A, we’re not just passionate about design—we’re dedicated to being part of a larger global community. The SoDA Summit is an incredible opportunity to connect, learn, and exchange ideas with other industry leaders, all while exploring the rich culture and architecture of Copenhagen. From the iconic Langelinie Pavillonen to moments of discovery across the city, Josh and Scott have immersed themselves in this unique experience. As we continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation, we’re excited to be part of such inspiring gatherings. Travel and collaboration are core to our mission, and we love building connections that shape the future of design.

Today, we solemnly commemorate the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost. As we reflect on this day, we also pay tribute to the resilience of those affected and the enduring spirit of our nation. The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was the only house of worship destroyed on 9/11. Since that day, it has been rebuilt not just as a Greek Orthodox Church, but as a National Shrine and a place of pilgrimage for all. We are privileged to have developed an immersive virtual tour that allows anyone, anywhere, to experience the Shrine’s profound beauty and spiritual significance. This digital recreation is a tribute to the resilience and hope embodied by the Shrine, offering a unique way to explore its sacred spaces and learn about its history, iconography, and Orthodox rituals. We hope this experience deepens your connection to the Shrine’s mission and legacy. Explore the virtual tour for yourself here! https://lnkd.in/gCXGFNs3 Read more about the significance of the virtual tour from Archinect and Communication Arts! https://lnkd.in/gWTiJKqZ https://lnkd.in/gXyCccQj

Adam Gamwell, Ph.D. and I had a great conversation with Jonathan Cohen of G&A about the design of reverent spaces and the role of technology. We went deep on discussions of remembrances of tragedies and horrific periods in history, and how we can design to immerse and connect people with those moments so that they are emotionally connected with them. Themes we hit on ➡ Evolving Nature of Design and Technology ➡ Emerging Technologies in Museum Experiences ➡ Enhancing Education with Technology ➡ Importance of Technology to Preserve Stories ➡ Reverence Spaces and Collective Experiences ➡ Reconciling Identity and Historical Trauma It was a great conversation, and definitely worth listening to at a time when we are not just trying to never forget, but also never letting happen again.
