We were so proud to support the Diamond Lake Kids Sailing School Fundraiser with a donation of a quarry tour and lunch at our favorite local spot in the community! 🏞️ Families explored the quarry, searching for fossils while learning about its vital role in road construction. Last week, Hector Villa, one of our Project Engineers, and Ashley Trost, our Director of People and Culture, had the incredible opportunity to take a visit out to the MAES Latinos in Science and Engineering group at Purdue University! 🌟 Our team was able to share information about the work we do here at Gallagher Asphalt, the many opportunities we have for engineers, and provide an overview of the construction industry! We were honored to support Clayco's “Kids Dig” event earlier this month! 🎉 It was such a heartwarming day where kids from Lurie Children’s Hospital and their siblings had the opportunity to explore, interact, and operate a variety of heavy construction equipment. These kids got up close to excavators, scissor lifts, bulldozers, and boom lifts in a giant sand box! 🏗️ Many of these amazing kids are in wheelchairs, so we were so proud to come out with our crew extra early to pave a smooth asphalt path to give them full access to the site.
